개인적으로 제일 즐겨 사용하는 브라우저는 Firefox 이다.(크롬은 너무 무거워서 잘 안쓰게 되고... 엣지는 뭔가 그냥 마음에 안든다...ㅠㅠ 그리고 어둠?의 경로를 보고 싶을때는 Opera를 이용하곤 한다. ㅎㅎ)
크롬이나 엣지는 필요할때만 사용하는 편이고... 그런데 firefox도 버전업을 계속하더니... 예전과 다르게 크롬처럼 메모리를 부쩍 잡아먹기 시작했다..ㅠㅠ
게다가 하루종일 Eclipse 를 띄워놓고 일을 하곤 하는데.. FireFox와 Eclipse가 메모리를 때로는 겁나 잡아먹곤 한다...
이런저런 메모리관리툴들을 살펴보다가 발견한 것이 Firemin 과 Mem Reduct이다.
firemin은 브라우저를 하루종일 켜놓았을때 메모리를 기하급수적으로 먹는것을 아주 잘 줄여준다.(원리는 잘 모름 ㅎㅎ)
위의 프로세스 상태를 보면 firefox에서 탭을 9개나 사용하고 있는데도 메모리 사용량은 생각보다 작은 것을 볼 수 있다.(Firemin을 수행하기 전에는 500MB이상씩 메모리 사용량이 나왔었음...ㅡ.ㅡ;;)
그리고 Mem Reduct는 주기적으로 실행되게 해놓으면 보통 전체메모리의 5~10% 정도는 가용메모리를 더 확보해준다.
